DIY Wood Cubes Children's Bookends
How to make DIY wood cubes bookends. Today we'll show you quick and easy way of making bookends for kids using wood cubes. Craft this bright children's wooden bookends together with your kid and favorite books will not be in a mess anymore!

Mark off the middle of the cutting board. Use a ruler. Draw a line.
Saw the board in half. Use a saw for wood work.
Sand the edges.
Apply a ground coat all over. Then cover with white acrylic paint.
Color the cubes with acrylic paints. You can use ready colored ones.
We need two cubes of each color: red, yellow and dark blue.
Attach one to the base with a hot glue gun.
Stick the next one at about an inch distance. Hot glue one more on top.
Make another element in the same way.
The bright children’s bookends are ready. Make it together with your kid and the favorite books will not be in a mess anymore.
Materials we used for this project:
- wood cutting board;
- wood cubes;
- sand paper;
- ground coat or mixture of white glue, white water-based paint and water in equal proportion;
- acrylic paints of red, dark blue, yellow and white colors;
- hot glue gun.
